Stefan climbs most on granite crags near to his home - short routes, but most of all he likes climbing in Yosemite Valley, crags and aid climbing. No bolted sport routes, but just a bare rock and a man against it just with his climbing material.

He goes to climb as often as he can, additionally even on ice.

"Climbing means for me adventure, fun and sometimes suffering. Climbing is a life. Man is in nature, struggling with himself and trying to push his limits a little further. This is why I like climbing. To achieve something in climbing, you need kind of passion and good nerves."
