Started:
Climbing attracted him as a child. And when they opened a new climbing gym in his town, he did not hesitate to try it. It became one of the most important things in his life.

Preferred climbs:
It differs according to his temper. He likes rather shorter, - more boulder routes. Ondra´s favourite material is sandstone, although he does not climb on it very often.

From his climbing achievements, he appreciates most:
Absolutely The Dagger 8B+ boulder in Swiss Ticino. It was Ondra´s dream, which came true in autumn 2011.

Competitions:
Ondrej Nevelik attends quite often competitions in bouldering. He takes it as a challenge - to have only a short time to solve the problem, make up his mind and to give maximum performance under pressure. He won Czech Bouldering Cup several times.

Training:
He trains 5x / week and on "free" days he goes swimming or running.

Diet:
Regarding nutrition, Ondra takes these things very seriously. The closer the important competition is, the more he corrects his nutrition plan.  He eats a lot of lean meet, egg whites, oatmeal, vegetables, supplements such as BCAA, protein, multivitamin.

Future plans:
Ondra´s short-term main goal is to succeed in Bouldering World Cup and to be regularly in semifinals. During fall, he would like to shift his limits on rocks - he has chosen some 8c+ route and 8B+ boulder.

Ondrej Nevelik about climbing:
"Determination is the the basis. The rest can be improved by training. I enjoy climbing, because everything depends only on me ? it is freedom, diversity of movement. I do not train the same thing or move over and over again. Once it starts to be kind of stereotype, I can always go out to the rocks."

Hobbies and interests besides climbing:
Last time, he started with taking pictures, he collects information and reads literature about nutrition and he is dealing with "Similarity searching in multimedia data" - a research related to his studies at Faculty of Informatics at Masarykova University in Brno.
