Michael Wohlleben
Young and devoted talent of german climbing scene performs unbelivable universality although he is still "teen". Member of German Youth Mountaineering Team, climbed 8a sport climbing routes as well as boulders in middle 7th grade. That all promise great Michael´s climbing future.
1) When did you start climbing?
I started climbing in the gym when I was 9, but I’ve been the first time on the rock when I was 12 in Frankenjura.
2) What (who) led you to first climbing steps?
My friends in the youth group.
3) What does climbing mean for you and your lifestyle?
Climbing is my life! I just go climbing, climbing, climbing...
4) What was your most exciting climbing situation?
When I belayed Ethan Pringle in his ascend of Realization 9a+ in Céüse, it was so motivating.
5) Favourite climbing sends?
The route Desperado in Frankenjura, my first 8a+ and another 8a in Céüse (L’ami Caouette).
6) What is your job now?
I’m still in school till the year 2010.
7) Your location?
A small town in Germany near Heilbronn.
8) What is the most valued product of Ocun kit for you?
I think the whole Ocun gear is very good, but I like the new Quickdraws K-LOCK DYN 11 the
most.
9) Why?
Lightweight, safe, it’s easy to clip them.
