Michael Huber about climbing:
"I like the balancing on the edge of my personal limits, playing with my own capabilities. And of course, I am always happy, if I manage to shift these limits further and make my performance better. It is just a great feeling, when I finally climb something I could not before. It might seem I am competitive, but honestly I do not like the atmosphere and spirit at competitions and it is nothing for me. I like to be alone out there, being at the mercy of mountains and wild nature. Climbing is an important part of me and if I should put a synonym, it would be FREEDOM. To reach certain digree of climbing skills and performance needs to keep motivation at its highest level and train. A good equipment is also important and nothing would be possible without it. But probably most important is to climb a lot and with people you like, so it is fun and you enjoy it. Strong nerves are also good thing, a dose of fear is also important, as it can protect you from dangerous situations."
Hobbies and interests besides climbing:
Photography, mountain biking, in winter free ride and ice climbing
