Tomas Mrazek is after injury back in great shape. He has just climbed his hard project "Xaxid Hostel" 9a+ in Osp. The 45 meter long route leads in the midle of Misja Pec, next to the route JSFK 7c+. Some friends an I have been on a trip to the Rocklands in South Africa for seven weeks. I knew that this place is really good for climbing, but as I saw it by myself i couldn´t believe how amazing the climbing is down there!! There are so many five star problems in all grates, even a lot of easier problems are really good.
7 - 9 May 2010 Romania celebrates its climbing feast - Herculane Climbing Open . Ocún is one of the main sponsors of this traditional competition. This year's participants in Herculane Climbing Open can look forward to meet Tomas Mrazek and Helena Lipenska from Ocún and Rock Pillars climbing team, who accepted the invitation.
Herculane Climbing Open has some years of tradition in Romania. The venue of the competition is the Cerna Valley in the South-West of Romania. This highly picturesque region is Cerna Valley is a limestone paradise for sport climbers. When you would think of trying the spring climbing in Romania and meeting new people, you can fill in the on-line registration by 5 May.
There will be two categories - Masters a Open (men and women, regardless of age). In Open category, there will be approximately 25 routes to climb (10 - 35 m high), Masters will have 5 routes of 7c and more. All the routes have to be red pointed. Each route is evaluated with a number of points that is shared by the competitors who managed to climb that route.
