Nigel Poustie - the friction has gone
Brief report from Nigel Poustie - a British boulderer from Ocun climbing team - about his recent boulder achievements and prospects for Autumn.
The weather has now changed and the hard grit bouldering season is over, the friction has gone.
I'm really pleased with how I´ve done though, I´ve done two brilliant big new hard problems which have been well received. Another project of mine will go down in the Autumn, which is definitely 8a or above. I have also been working a couple of 8a+/bs, I am very close to achieving that next landmark.
As there is no friction, I am now training more and trying to get away to limestone venues in our new van.
On my first visit I managed 14, 7a-7b+s in one day. I thought wasn´t bad since I haven´t climbed on lime for years!
I have attached a photo of me on the sit start to Kudos hard way-7b+ but unfortunately we´ve been pretty slack about taking photos - something has to give when you have a small child at the rocks.
Greetings to all Ocun fans
Nigel
