Mina Markovic (SLO) - successful year 2009
I started session 2009 with some new decisions and changes in training program and competition schedule. I decided to start train and compete also boulders and not just lead.News
- 20.12.2011 Ocun invites you to ISPO fair 2012 - We invite all Ocun fans to ISPO Munich 2012.
- 28.11.2011 14 years old Borna Cujic from Croatia has sent his first 8b - From 7a to 8b during one year!
- 12.09.2011 International Regional Climbing Cup 2011 in Judenburg, Austria - International Regional Climbing Cup for kids and youth powered by Ocun Judenburg, 17./18. September 2011

At first look it might seem like my decision was not really the best possible. But in the most important competition of the year - world championship in Xining, I have shown, that I am able to make top performance and results in boulders too. Fourth place in boulders and 3rd in overall classification gave me a confirmation that I am on the right way.

That I have learned a lot in first part of this year I shown specially in second half part of year, where I have climbed well and correct, specially in hard and physical routes. In my memory will stay all autumn and good results that I reached in this time. It started with 2nd place on rock master in Arco (where I have missed win for 'just' minus in sum of both routes) and week after that continued with winning on master in Durango. All contest of competition, constant climbing and setting up boulders there will stay in my memory for long time.
I used a little break from world cups for a short trip to Spain, where I had enjoyed about 10 days of mostly on-sighting, including my first 8b OS (and sure 8b RP too) and lot of 8a+'s and 8a's.

In last part of competition year in November, I finally reached not just good climbing shape but also competition constancy. I really enjoyed last two world cup competitions. In Brno, where I was 3rd, and sure in Kranj, where I have won in front of home spectators. Winning at home means a lot to me, specially because I kind of do not prefer to climb in front of people who I know and specially because routes and wall in Kranj is honesty not my favorite.

I am really satisfied with the way that I finished this year and I will do my best to start where I have finished. For next year I am planning to pay some more attention on rock, where I specially find my self in on-sighting and I am sure, that I have not reached my top level there yet. But for sure, competitions are staying my first priority!
Soooo, see you this year! :-)
