I was already dreaming a long time of a free-soloing a sport climbing Route in the grade UIAA 8 or 9.
On last Saturday we've been at Naifertaler Klettergarten and I climbed the 9- there, at the chain I got again the Idea of free-solo climbing.
I was just thinking...
After some checkout-climbs I felt better and better and then I good the feeling that I can do it, after 45 minutes I started climbing, at the first moves I was quite nervous but after three moves I was totally focused and the route felt easy and after 2 minutes climbing I was at the top.
I think the route is an easy 9- ( after Frankenjura Guidebook Schwertner) but the crux is round about 8m above the bottom where are laying a bunch of big trees. Enough that a landing is not allowed-especially not without a sea of Crashpads and hard work of lumberjacks.
